The situation

A practising doctor had built up real teaching material and an audience for it, then found himself distributing it through file links and confirming payments by hand. Every new student meant admin. The videos were one forward away from being free. And there was no way to tell whether anyone finished a course.

What was built

  • 01 Course, module and lesson structure
  • 02 Student enrolment and accounts
  • 03 Access-controlled video and downloadable material
  • 04 Per-lesson progress and completion tracking
  • 05 Admin area for writing and publishing courses
  • 06 Student dashboard that resumes where they stopped

Details that mattered

Material that stays behind the gate

Lesson media is served through authenticated, signed access rather than a public URL, so a link forwarded to a colleague does not quietly become a free enrolment.

Publishing without a developer

Courses, modules and lessons get written, reordered and published from the admin area. New material is an afternoon for the doctor, not a deployment for me.

Progress as real data

Completion is tracked lesson by lesson. That drives the student dashboard, the resume flow, and a clear view of exactly which lesson people give up on.

What it changed

  • Enrolment and access run themselves, with no manual step per student
  • Course material is protected instead of freely shareable
  • Completion data shows where students drop off
  • New courses go live without developer involvement
